According to the Minister of Economics and Digitisation, Dr Bernd Althusmann, almost 10,000 businesses in Lower Saxony have received the digitalbonus.niedersachsen within two years. This makes the programme the most successful support programme in Lower Saxony's economy. In total, around 170 million euros in investments were triggered by the digitalbonus.niedersachsen. "After the programme expired at the end of last year, we now want to continue on this successful path with the new edition and continue to support small and medium-sized enterprises with a total of 15 million euros in digitalisation," said Althusmann.
According to information from companies and associations, there is still a need for action in digitalisation in many small and medium-sized enterprises. The digitalbonus.niedersachsen should continue to offer these companies the opportunity to make themselves fit for the future and thus also secure jobs.
Small companies with up to 50 employees can receive up to 40 percent of the investment sum as a grant, medium-sized companies with a maximum of 250 employees up to 20 percent. The subsidy is capped at 10,000 euros per company. The digitalbonus.niedersachsen (more information) can be applied for now at the NBank.
However, it is also possible to benefit from funding for the digitisation of companies nationwide. The "Digital Now" programme was launched by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
