Microsoft has published the Release Wave 1 2021 plans for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform. In these, you will find a compilation of the new features that will be released between April 2021 and September 2021. The first release wave of 2021 will provide many new features and enhancements to further strongly support users' digital transformation.

Dynamics 365 Highlights
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing focuses on more intensive personalisation of the customer approach and more channels to reach these customers with the right messages. Analytics capabilities are enhanced to improve results.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales offers time-saving enhancements so salespeople can focus on selling. Access to data insights is enhanced and the mobile experience for salespeople on the go is improved.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service delivers the all-in-one contact centre, now with first-party voice powered by Azure Communication Services and intelligent, skill-based omnichannel routing across all channels. It also improves agent productivity in the areas of knowledge management, timeline, email and agent dashboards.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service introduces a comprehensive offering for customers that will allow them to self-schedule service and rate technicians to ensure maximum satisfaction. These measures, coupled with improved productivity features for technicians through the new knowledge management module, will further optimise the technician-customer relationship.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central offers a number of new features that simplify and improve how administrators organise clients and manage licenses and entitlements. Application enhancements expand integration with Teams and add country and regional extensions.
Power Platform Highlights
Microsoft Power BI continues to invest in key areas that drive a culture of data in organisations, making it easier for all stakeholders to access key insights.
Power BI Pro supports faster insight discovery with AI-infused insights. In addition, the new Quick Create experiences will make creating Power BI content easier than ever. At the same time, advanced features such as Small Multiples and Composite Models will continue to evolve. Power BI will continue to expand integration with teams in channels, meetings and chats.
Power BI Premium continues to offer features that help organisations deliver insights at scale. In addition, this release adds flexible licensing models that allow organisations to choose between per-user and per-capacity licensing.

Early Access - early access to the new functions
From 01.02.2021, customers and partners will be able to test the latest features in a non-production environment. These features include user experience enhancements that will be automatically enabled for users in production environments in October 2020.
