You can now use columns to sort information in the history view. M-Files also remembers your column selection.
Optimization setting moved to Advanced Vault Settings
The registry setting 'Index Defragmenting Page Count Limit' was moved to M-Files Admin. The setting can be found in the AVS section: "Configuration > Database > Optimization". The setting is related to thorough optimization.
Temporary search views in M-Files Web
Temporary search views are now available in M-Files Web with the same functions as on M-Files Desktop.
Copy link available in context menu on M-Files Web and the new M-Files Desktop
You can now copy a link from the context menu on M-Files Web and the new M-Files Desktop. Before, link copying was available only through the copy icon that appears when you hover over an object.
Viewinfo parameter is now optional for iCommonFunctions.GetWebLink in UIXv2
The GetWebLink method of the ICommonFunctions interface in UI Extensibility Framework now operates correctly even when the viewInfo parameter is not specified.
Duplicate Detection in M-Files Web and the new M-Files Desktop
Duplicate detection is now available in both M-Files Web and the new M-Files Desktop. When you add new files, the system will automatically detect duplicates and allow you to review them. Any duplicates that remain in the system will be shown in the relationships section of the listing.

The M-Files Aino Metadata vault application is now automatically installed. It is disabled by default. M-Files Aino Metadata is a new intelligence service that suggests metadata based on a document content analysis made with large language models. To use M-Files Aino Metadata, the M-Files Business platform edition is necessary.

AI Assistant now available in the M-Files Help Center
The M-Files Help Center is now equipped with an AI Assistant to help M-Files users with all kinds of questions about M-Files. You can ask the assistant anything you want to know about using M-Files and it will respond in natural language with links to sources that back up the information provided. You can also continue the conversation by asking follow-up questions.
The assistant uses the M-Files User Guide and the M-Files Help Center as sources of information and uses generative AI capabilities to understand questions in natural language and provide answers in natural language.
