The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a single legal framework in the EU. Since May 25, 2018, it stipulates that companies and organizations operating in the EU must document their processes when they collect, process or store personal data. Upon request, this data must be provided electronically.
Five years after its introduction, German companies do not rate the European General Data Protection Regulation particularly positively: the GDPR, which has been in force since May 2018, only receives a rating of "sufficient" with a score of 3.9. Despite the fact that 65 percent of companies already comply with the regulations either fully or to a large extent, they still face significant challenges. This was the result of a recent survey by bitkom.
TSO-DATA offers technical support for companies in implementing the GDPR requirements in their enterprise solutions, e.g. with the GDPR ToolBox for Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Dynamics 365 Business Central and for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and the GDPR ToolBox for the document management system M-Files.
The GDPR Toolbox for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central helps you meet GDPR requirements in terms of documenting and reporting your Business Central / NAV processes - such as identifying personal data, classifying tables, and generating and processing deletion and anonymization suggestions. Respond within the legal deadline to requests from data subjects, for example - document them and inform or export personal data from Business Central / NAV as needed. Check and document user logins and access rights in Dynamics and reduce your documentation effort with the help of integrated evaluations. The DSGVO ToolBox is available for the Business Central on-premises variant as well as for Business Central Online (see Microsoft AppSource).
To ensure that the documentation and reporting of your CRM Dynamics 365 processes meet the high requirements of the GDPR, we support you in this area with our GDPR toolbox for CRM-Microsoft Dynamics 365. Respond within the legal deadline, for example, to requests from data subjects - document them and, if necessary, export and send the personal data from CRM-Microsoft Dynamics 365.
The EU Directive on the General Data Protection Regulation also poses major challenges for users of the M-Files ECM solution. On the one hand, personal data must be better protected, and on the other hand, it must be possible to retrieve this data quickly and easily. In addition, data must be deleted according to their respective retention periods. The GDPR Toolbox for M-Files solves these requirements with the help of M-Files' metadata-based document repository. This is because data protection regulations and data destruction regulations are properties, i.e. "keywords", called metadata, which can be automatically or individually included for each document class.
