We would like to inform you that Microsoft has updated the Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA). These changes affect the contractual framework for the use of Microsoft services such as Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, Azure, and other cloud offerings.
What has changed?
• The MCA has been revised by Microsoft to provide more transparency, clarity, and flexibility.
• The new version takes into account current requirements in the areas of data protection, compliance, and cloud usage.
• The current version can be found here: Licensing Documents (Microsoft)
• Users who accepted the MCA before April 1, 2023, must reconfirm the new terms in order to continue using Microsoft services.
What needs to be done?
• Please check in the Microsoft Admin Center whether renewed consent is required.
• This is done in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center under »Settings« > »Partner Relationships« > »Accept, view, and confirm agreement«
• Consent is given with the click of a button, digitally and easily
• Please note that consent can only be given by a global administrator of your customer account!
Why is this important?
The update of the MCA is part of Microsoft’s strategy to simplify contract processes while meeting the requirements of modern cloud usage. Only with a confirmed MCA can new services be activated and existing services continue to be used.
If you have any questions or need support, we are of course happy to assist you.
