With constant innovation, Microsoft has managed to deliver a productivity suite from the cloud with Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365), which is now used on over 300 million workstations and provides users with contemporary applications and secure work-life features.
The addition of 24 apps (e.g. Teams, Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Stream, Planner, Visio, OneDrive, Yammer and Whiteboard) and more than 1,400 new features (300 new features in 2020 for Teams alone) has significantly improved cross-user collaboration and streamlined processes. The area of security and compliance has also been strengthened - an elementary point especially in times of an increasing number of cyber attacks on companies. The use of artificial intelligence and automation is constantly being further developed and supports users in carrying out their work in an even more targeted manner.
In the coming months, Microsoft will add unlimited telephone dial-in to its suites for enterprises, service and production (frontline) as well as public authorities: With the ability to dial into Teams meetings via phone, employees will be able to join a meeting without an internet connection and on the go. The feature is currently only available to Microsoft 365 E5 and Office 365 E5 customers. As an important part of the complete Teams experience, Microsoft will make the feature available by subscription in more than 70 countries. In addition, interactive customer support will be made available in 44 languages and dialects.
As a result of continuing innovation and development, Microsoft is now announcing a price adjustment for Microsoft 365 from March 2022 for enterprise customers for the following products and with global validity (prices in euros are not yet fixed):
