Microsoft is now announcing changes to its Customer Insights - Journeys product portfolio. These changes relate to the outbound marketing module as well as some essential functions and affect both existing and new customers.
Removal of the outbound marketing module
On 30 June 2025, the Outbound Marketing module will be removed from Customer Insights - Journeys. Existing customers will need to migrate to the Real-Time Journeys module by this date to avoid disruption to their marketing workflows. Microsoft is offering comprehensive migration support to ensure that the transition goes smoothly.
Real-time journeys as the standard for new customers
Since August 2023, Real-Time Journeys has been the standard offering for all new customers. New installations no longer include the outbound marketing module, as Microsoft is focussing on the real-time functions that enable a faster and more precise approach.
Replacement of functions
On 2 December 2024, two important functions will be removed: Social Posting and LinkedIn Lead Generation. Social Posting in particular is not supported in Real-Time Journeys, which means that customers should consider alternative solutions for social media management.
Recommendations for existing customers
Microsoft recommends that all existing customers switch to Real-Time Journeys at an early stage so that they can continue to benefit from optimum performance and the latest functions. If specific requirements demand a different solution, Microsoft offers the option of applying for exceptions using a form.
These changes are part of Microsoft's ongoing efforts to optimise its CRM solutions and meet the growing demands of digital marketing. We recommend that all customers review the impact of these changes on their business processes and take timely action.
