Microsoft expands Copilot and AI features in Fabric to all paid SKUs

Microsoft has announced a major update that makes Copilot and AI capabilities in Microsoft Fabric available to all paid license tiers starting at F2. This removes previous SKU restrictions and opens up the full potential of Fabric’s AI tools to a wider audience—automatically and at no additional cost.

What this means for your organization

The AI-powered features in Microsoft Fabric, including Copilot and Fabric Data Agents, are designed to help users interact with data more intuitively, make faster decisions, and automate complex tasks. Whether you're visualizing data in Power BI or building data models, these tools are built to simplify your workflows and boost collaboration.

A key benefit: AI in Fabric understands your data context and allows users to engage with enterprise data using natural language. That means no more writing complex queries—just ask, and let the system do the work.

Seamless activation—no additional purchases required

You can enable Copilot and AI features within your existing resources. For customers in the EU and US, Copilot is enabled by default. If you’re located outside these regions, simply activate it in the admin settings of Microsoft Fabric or Power BI.

Why this matters

By broadening access to generative AI, Microsoft is reducing the barriers for businesses of all sizes. The introduction of Fabric Copilot Capacity also simplifies user management and resource planning. It’s now easier than ever to bring intelligent features into your day-to-day operations, improve efficiency, and drive innovation.
