New features are being delivered in the October 2022 update of Microsoft's Power BI business intelligence solution.
Reverse stacking order for stacked column charts
Thanks to the latest update, it is now possible to reverse the order in which segments are rendered in stacked column and bar charts. This makes it easier to match category groupings of strictly positive columns with vertically aligned legends.
Normally, column segments are displayed from the zero line upwards, but in the legend they are displayed from top to bottom or left to right. This can lead to confusion.
A new option in the formatting area allows you to reverse the stacking order.
The switch is deactivated by default. If it is switched on, the order in which the segments are stacked appears reversed.
