Microsoft announced that Dynamics 365 users:inside can now use Microsoft Teams chat: Teams integrates seamlessly with Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Dynamics 365 Field Service, Dynamics 365 Marketing, and Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation.
This integration allows you to access the Teams chat feature directly from the Dynamics 365 app to quickly and easily communicate with team members. By connecting these two applications, you can chat directly in the respective Dynamics 365 app without having to leave it or switch to a separate platform.
This results in a number of new features that further facilitate collaboration:
These include starting a new connected chat conversation, adding user:ins to an existing connected chat, connecting an existing chat to a record, and accessing all recent chats connected to Dynamics 365 records.
In addition, on a list page such as the Opportunity list page, user:ins can view all of their recent chats that are connected to Dynamics 365 records. The top 200 chat conversations in teams are also listed on the list and record pages.
Furthermore, you can join an existing connected chat that is associated with a record you have write access to and navigate to a related record directly from the connected chat. Note that although the channel is connected to the record, channel conversations can only be accessed within teams.
Microsoft Teams chats in Dynamics 365 is now available for all users using both applications. To use the integration, make sure you have the latest version of Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Teams installed.
