The January 2025 release of the Business Intelligence solution TARGIT Decision Suite includes four exciting new features that we would like to share with you.
Overview of New Features:
- Scheduled Tasks in Tabs: Improved overview and editing capabilities.
- Object Switching: New options for managing objects.
- Hide Criteria Bar: Ability to hide the criteria bar in TARGIT Anywhere.
- Copy Cell Value from Crosstab: New function to copy cell values.
In detail:
1. Changes to Scheduled Tasks in TARGIT
- Overview of Scheduled Tasks: The overview of scheduled tasks has been moved from the file menu to the start menu.
- Task Editing Dialog: The dialog for creating or editing scheduled tasks has been significantly changed. It is now tab-based and provides a complete overview of all task properties.
- Advantages of the New Structure:
- Complete overview of all task properties.
- Ability to edit details of individual parts of the task.
- Open multiple tabs for simultaneous editing and investigation.
- Copy and paste schedules between different tasks.
- Tasks as Documents: Scheduled tasks are now treated like documents, making it easier to edit and copy/paste between them.
- Notifications: Notifications are now more visible and can be set up directly when adding a new scheduled task.
- These changes are intended to improve the user-friendliness and efficiency of managing scheduled tasks in TARGIT. More info: Scheduled jobs in tabs
2. Trigger Option “Toggle Visibility”
- Allows objects to be shown or hidden in the current dashboard.
- Object names must be prefixed with a hashtag (“#”).
- Actions: Show, hide, and toggle objects/groups.
- Examples of Use:
- Groups and menus can be shown or hidden together.
- Export documents to Excel: Sheet names can be customized.
- Notes:
- Menu object properties are only accessible when the menu object is visible.
- Multiple hashtag names for an object or group are possible.

3. Show/Hide Criteria Bar
- Users in the Anywhere client can show or hide the criteria bar.
- This is done via a small button at the top left of the dashboard.
- The visibility of the criteria bar is a setting that should be configured per document by the designer.
- Designer Settings:
- Designer users can enable or disable the criteria bar in a document by right-clicking.
- The “Show/hide Anywhere” option must be enabled.

4. Copy Cell Value from Crosstab
- Users can copy values or text from a single cell in a crosstab.
- This is done by right-clicking on the cell.
- The copied content can be used in other systems, e.g., as a search term in the ERP system.
- Limitations:
- The “Copy cell value” function does not work in the Safari browser.
