Microsoft's Power BI is an impressive business intelligence solution that allows you to link data from multiple sources, analyze it comprehensively and visualize it in an appealing way. Thanks to Power BI, you can create interactive dashboards and reports that provide valuable insights for your business decisions.
In September 2023, Microsoft announced some exciting new features and enhancements for Power BI, which we would like to share with you here.
Improved layout synchronization
From now on, any changes made to layouts will be synchronized on both the desktop and in the service. Specifically, this means:
If changes were made to the data model layout on the desktop and the .PBIX file was uploaded, those changes will be reflected in the Power BI service. Conversely, any layout adjustments made in the service are also saved when the .PBIX file is downloaded.
Upgrading Power BI Desktop .NET Framework to 4.7.2 or higher
Power BI Desktop with .NET Framework 4.5 will no longer be supported after 09/30/2023. Upgrade to .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later to avoid support issues.
