Microsoft Power BI is an impressive business intelligence solution that allows you to link data from multiple sources, analyze it comprehensively and visualize it in an engaging way. In July 2023, Microsoft announced some exciting new features and enhancements for Power BI, which we would like to share with you here.
Improved reporting
There are some exciting new features in report generation. For line and area charts, new smoothed lines and leading lines have been added to improve visualization. The object interaction feature has been improved and now includes a new "+" button to add panels, as well as the ability to CTRL-click to open multiple panels. In addition, treemap subselections are now supported. Several bugs have also been fixed to make report generation even smoother.
Enhanced data connection
The data connection has also been enhanced. The Snowflake connector now offers better performance, and the Google Analytics connector supports the Google Analytics Data API. In addition, other Connectors such as Azure Databricks, Denodo, EQuIS, and Anaplan have also been updated to provide seamless integration with various data sources.
These new features enable users to create meaningful visualizations, optimize data models, and seamlessly access multiple data sources. As a result, Power BI remains a powerful and versatile solution for data analysis and visualization.
