Successful donation record thanks to numerous supporters: The 9th Zoo Charity Run in June 2023 recorded an impressive donation balance. Committed sponsors such as Stiftung Stahlwerk Georgsmarienhütte, TSO-DATA and Thomas Philipps contributed to this. The funds raised will go to support the "Sportler 4 a childrens world" association and the language support project "Learning German at the Zoo".
The Zoo Charity Run in Osnabrück took place for the ninth time this year. With 686 participants, the number of runners was just under the record of 700 participants. Nevertheless, a considerably higher donation amount was achieved. John McGurk, one of the initiators of the already established running event, was delighted: "Thanks to the dedicated participants and generous support from donors and sponsors, this year's proceeds amount to 21,644 euros."
The event was able to count on a wide range of support, both from long-time sponsors and new supporters. John McGurk emphasized, "We are impressed by the diverse support coming from different directions. Both long-time sponsors and new partners contribute to our success."
In light of this year's triumph, Osnabrück Zoo is already planning the next Zoo Charity Run. "Due to the overwhelming response, we have already set the course: The 10th Zoo Charity Run will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2024," explained Jennifer Ludwig, event manager at Osnabrück Zoo.
