TSO-DATA Customer Day 2021 - virtual and a great success

The TSO-DATA Customer Day on Thursday, 11.03.2021, was designed as a platform for virtual exchange and was a complete success, as our participants confirm. In a variety of presentations, we informed our customers and interested parties about the challenges in the lockdown and gave an exciting review and outlook about our company and our solutions and projects.

This was followed by news about the current version of the ERP solution Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, which is available both for on-premises and as a software-as-a-service from Microsoft. Christian Muris then showed the technologies that Business Central installations use to automatically receive the latest service packs, making time-consuming updates a thing of the past.

How a document management system (DMS) linked to Business Central, such as M-Files, can finally bring order to the document jungle was explained in detail by our DMS expert Andreas Blom. In the area of Business Intelligence, the solutions TARGIT Decision Suite and Microsoft's Power BI were presented and compared. In addition, the modules "BI-Sales" and "BI-Finance", developed by TSO-DATA, which enable a particularly quick and easy entry into the targeted analysis of Business Central business data, were presented.

Other presentations dealt with the topic of customer service and which new paths the Dynamics 365 solution offers for customer management. In this context, the presentation Modern Workplace 2021 by David Eggenhofer also impressively presented the connection and interaction of CRM with Microsoft Teams as a collaboration platform. For all participants with a focus on retail, the presentation of the latest functions of the retail software LS Central, such as Click & Collect, was an alternative offer.

Two further presentations dealt intensively with KatarGo, our certified industry solution for mail order and wholesale. Our speaker Verena Thumann presented the latest features such as the overview of existing connections to well-known payment service providers, the qualified VAT and the sanctions list check, all of which are integrated in KatarGo. KatarGo product manager Andreas Jasper-Bruns showed the many variants of carrier connectivity with KatarGo, as well as an interesting comparison of investment and operating costs. Other topics included how to handle payment reports (Amazon FBA) and how to add a material composition to an item.

Our conclusion - the virtual customer day once again offered a lot of knowledge with added value in this special format and was very informative for our customers and the users.
