Dirk Gattermann, chairman of the support association, together with Martina Freisel, division manager of the inpatient help for upbringing, accepted the donation from the long-time supporters on behalf of the young people at the Haus am Schlehenbusch. "With this, we can make so many great activities possible for the young people in the house," Gattermann is pleased to say.
Martina Freisel and two colleagues proudly presented the purchases that were made possible by the donation last year: Six inflatable stand-up paddles and new life jackets. These could also already be tested extensively in the summer. "The young people have a lot of fun and dare to do something. That's great to see," says Martina Freisel. In addition, another canoe will be purchased in the spring of 2023, as canoe tours are also a popular leisure activity for the young people.
But there is already an idea for the new donation from long-time sponsor TSO-DATA: The house at Schlehenbusch is to get its own music studio. Here, the young people can make music and learn how to cut it together, edit it and add pictures to it. Some of the staff at Haus am Schlehenbusch already know how to do this and would like to introduce it to the young people. The young people want to know: How is a real song created? What has to be done for this?
Perhaps the project of the Haus am Schlehenbusch's own CD, which was put on hold by the Corona pandemic, can be realized.
The work at Haus am Schlehenbusch is essential for the children and young people. Accordingly, special thanks are due to the Leitfunke support association and the TSO-DATA company, which has been supporting the facility with donations since 2008. It is only through this generous and loyal support that measures such as these become possible.
