Small and medium-sized enterprises, in short SME, is the collective term for companies that do not exceed predefined key figures and therefore do not belong to large companies. These often include medium-sized companies that are not integrated into corporate structures. SMEs often work in a customer-oriented manner and must react quickly and flexibly to changing market requirements.
