ZUGFeRD now available in Business Central

Dynamics 365 Business Central has supported the ZUGFeRD format for electronic invoices since April 26, 2025. The new function enables automated and legally compliant processing of invoices directly in the ERP system - an important step for companies that want to digitize their financial processes.

The new function enables:

  • PDF invoices with embedded XML file for machine-readable processing
  • Automated posting and archiving of incoming and outgoing invoices
  • Easy setup via the "E-Document Service" page
  • Integration with Peppol service providers for sending via secure networks

With the first version of ZUGFeRD integration, Microsoft is laying the foundation for modern and efficient e-invoice processing in Business Central. The function will be continuously developed and further optimized in future versions.
