Just how important and essential digital processes are is shown not least by situations such as the current corona pandemic. Topics such as cloud, online meetings or online customer portals have become extremely important, because a digitalised company organisation provides a big head start here.
This topic should also be given special attention in the future. After all, digital processes are often more efficient, more secure and are the prerequisite for offering new products and services and for surviving in a changing competitive environment. In this way, they also decide on the competitiveness and future viability of companies.
To enable small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to exploit the economic potential of digitisation, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi) has launched the programme "Digital Jetzt - Investment Support for SMEs" for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It offers financial support of up to 50% and is intended to encourage companies to invest more in digital technologies and in the qualification of their employees.
