The basic data protection regulation (DSGVO / GDPR) has created a uniform legal framework in the European Union. The Regulation has brought rules into force for all companies and organisations that offer goods and services in the EU or collect and analyse data on EU citizens. Since 25 May 2018, for example, there has been an obligation to document, evaluate and, upon request, make available electronically any process in which personal data are recorded, processed or stored in the system.
