The communication software Microsoft Teams is becoming more and more a workplace solution thanks to new functions.
The integration of the mail client Outlook enables users to send an e-mail to their colleagues quickly and easily. Conversations or entire channels can then be shared, for example. These are embedded as attachments. With this feature Microsoft extends the communication possibilities in teams and creates a workstation solution that offers a wide range of tools for communication (chat, e-mail, telephony) in addition to all Office programs. Ideally, only teams can be used, the separate use of other programs is not necessary due to the comprehensive integration.

To support the communication idea even more, teams have been extended by a speech recognition system. Subtitles generated in real-time can now be added to video calls. This is especially helpful in noisy environments or when talking to people speaking different languages: The solution currently recognizes German, English and Chinese, and can also translate the text in up to 50 languages simultaneously. According to Microsoft, swear words should be automatically hidden. Transcripts of the video calls are stored, if desired the administrator can also switch off these recordings.
