For the May update of Microsoft's business intelligence solution Power BI, several new functions have been made available.
Modern visual tooltips (preview)
These new tooltips include datapoint drill actions and an updated design to match the report theme used.
This allows you to drill down / up and drill down for a data point without having to use the context menu or visual header.
If you enable this preview, all new reports will have the modern tooltips by default. To enable the new tooltips for existing reports, you need to navigate to the report settings and enable the modern visual tooltips.
Create reports directly from SharePoint lists
This feature allows users of SharePoint lists and Microsoft lists to browse their list data with just a few clicks.
Work side-by-side with other apps on iPad or Android tablet.
The Power BI mobile app now allows multitasking (two apps open side by side) on mobile devices that support this functionality. While the relevant data is displayed in the Power BI mobile app, it is thus possible to write an email in parallel, create notes on important analysis insights or discuss the data with colleagues via chat. All this without having to switch between screens and lose context.
