In November 2023, we were once again part of a major event in the Microsoft Dynamics community - Directions EMEA in Lyon. Between November 1st and 3rd, the conference for Microsoft partners offered a wealth of information on the latest trends and developments around Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This provided an ideal platform for the exchange of specialist knowledge, practical examples and forward-looking ideas.
A core topic of the event was the ongoing development and expansion of the Microsoft Cloud. Particular attention was paid to the continuous investment in the further development of cloud solutions in order to create ever-increasing added value. There was a particular focus on optimizing performance in order to attract and retain customers and users for the cloud solutions in the long term.
The importance of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly in the ERP area, was also a key topic of discussion. With tools such as Microsoft Copilot, the aim is to offer ERP users substantial added value.
We brought the insights and inspiration from the conference back to our teams. They encourage us in our path with our customers and projects. This tool is soon to be integrated into various business applications such as Microsoft 365, Dynamics and Visual Studio and promises to revolutionize the way we interact with these programs.
Microsoft's partnership with OpenAI and the integration of ChatGPT into various applications underlines its pioneering role in the industry. The goal is clear: to provide innovative solutions in the areas of search, collaboration, work and education. With this in mind, Microsoft has also further developed its cloud infrastructure, which entails significant adjustments to the structure of its data centers, with AI technologies playing a key role.
