In the June update 2022 of Microsoft's business intelligence solution Power BI, new features and previews were provided. We would like to present a few selected ones here.
New format area generally available
We have already presented the new format area to you, it could be tested as a preview so far. Now Microsoft announces that this new feature is now generally available, it replaces the old format area.
Improvements to table navigation
To improve performance and user experience, Microsoft has made improvements to the visual table display.
These updates include general performance improvements to scrolling and rendering, as well as the appearance and behaviour of grid lines and selection styles. New keyboard shortcuts provide easier navigation and selected rows are more clearly identifiable thanks to improved contrast. The new ability to link images with alternative text in the formatting area makes working with Power BI easier, especially for blind and visually impaired users.
Canvas Zoom in Teams and Quick Create
Last month we already introduced the Canvas Zoom feature for Desktop. This feature is now also available for Power BI in Teams and Quick Create. Report readers benefit from improved readability, and report creators can make pixel-perfect adjustments by zooming in on the workspace. Users can drag the slider to adjust the zoom level or click Zoom % to launch the zoom level dialogue box and enter a custom input.
These features in detail and further information on the June update can be found here in the Microsoft Power BI Blog. Further explanations are available in this video:
