Shortcuts for Business Central

If you want to work faster and more efficiently on your PC, you can save a lot of time with shortcuts. Perhaps you have already seen colleagues use these shortcuts to open and close windows rapidly and to implement processes even more precisely. The explanation: Key combinations are simply faster to execute than any mouse movement.

In the ERP solution Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly Dynamics NAV / Navision), keyboard shortcuts also facilitate accessibility and can make navigation to various areas and elements on a page more efficient. Since version 15, Business Central is operated via a web client. As a result, the shortcuts known from the Windows client of previous versions have changed. The new combinations are supported by most Web browsers, but the behavior may vary slightly.

Microsoft offers a graphical overview (source: docs.microsoft.com) of shortcuts that make work easier for web client users of the Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP solution.

The shortcuts described here refer to the US keyboard layout, which may not correspond to the one you are using. Deviations may also occur in Apple's macOS operating system. Microsoft has published a complete list of shortcuts that also takes this into account in this article
