VENO GmbH, an established medium-sized wholesale company based in Bad Bentheim, Germany, is a leading supplier of haberdashery, fashion goods, accessories, hand knitting yarns and needlework accessories. Since its foundation in 1952, VENO GmbH has been characterized by a personal sales force, high-quality products and modern store concepts. With about 60 employees at the Bad Bentheim location, the company serves customers in specialized trade, retail stores for haberdashery, as well as department stores. Customers are served by the company's own field sales force as well as sales representatives for Denmark and Sweden and a dedicated employee for Austria.
VENO GmbH was faced with the challenge of replacing its existing AS/400 solution for financial accounting and merchandise management with a modern, strategic and adaptable solution. The goal was to meet the current and future requirements of the wholesale business. This included the optimization of warehouse processes, the introduction of a central article maintenance with variant concept, the connection of a Shopware webshop via web services and the provision of comprehensive IT support.
To address these challenges, VENO chose to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central On-Premises in combination with the specialized industry solution KatarGo. As a trusted solution partner, the business systems house TSO-DATA accompanied VENO GmbH through this extensive project. Based on the proven TSO-DATA project methodology, the project was successfully implemented in several phases:
Migrating from our existing custom AS/400 solution to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with KatarGo was a significant step for our company. Our workflows have been optimized and our employees are now more efficient in their daily work.
The successful implementation of KatarGo has brought numerous benefits to VENO GmbH. Thanks to KatarGo, the company's warehouse processes have been made more efficient.
In addition, article maintenance was centralized and mapped by a variant concept, enabling the management of a comprehensive product range. This also contributed to the improved connection of the company's own field sales force as well as sales representatives.
Another advantage was the integration with the Shopware Webshop, which optimized online sales: "The smooth connection to the field sales force and the integration of our webshop have strengthened our customer relationships," explains Dennis Schröder, Sales Manager, VENO.
Finally, financial accounting was also simplified, increasing the transparency of financial data.
Thanks to the partnership support of TSO-DATA, we have finally found a solution that perfectly fits the requirements of our wholesale business.
